QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Assurance Manager has the responsibility for leading the Quality Assurance Team to plan, develop and/or administer quality assurance; supporting activities and documentation for the development, acquisition, test, production and maintenance of GFEBS. The incumbent will report directly to the PM and DPM providing analysis, metrics and/or reports on the program’s adherence to quality and quality assurance practices through-out the program.
The GFEBS program needs a government Quality Assurance Manager to provide detail analysis, metrics and/or reports on the program’s adherence to quality and quality assurance practices through-out the program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the development of plans for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout GFEBS’ life cycle.
·
Evaluate, analyze and verify the implementation and effectiveness of the System Integrator’s products which, when GFEBS is fielded world-wide, will support 79,000 users at 200 locations worldwide.

Participate with engineering, program acquisitions, production (O&S) and other activities in developing plans and procedures for assuring quality and reliability of program and system products.
·
Review work instructions, functional and technical data to identify characteristics critical to product acceptability.
·
Conduct audits of products and processes for conformance to specifications and to detect processing and functional and technical documentation deficiencies and recommended corrective actions, including establishment of acceptable quality levels and statistical techniques.

Provide status updates and briefings on analysis, trends and conditions (to include weaknesses) on the quality of the system and its documents.
·
Other software quality assurance documents required by Regulations or specified by the client’s contract will be developed as part of each new program development phase.
Skills/Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS
·
10 years of hands on experience in software quality assurance or related activities
·
Hands on experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project including the ability to create reports and presentations
·
Excellent analytical skills and commitment to continuous QA
·
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·
Excellent interpersonal skills
·
Ability to effectively manage workload and multi-tasking.
·
Competent knowledge of software development lifecycles and how they pertain to quality assurance.
DESIRED SKILLS:
·
4 or more years experience with SAP Financials
·
SAP/ERP experience a plus
·
Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Secret clearance or must be able to pass a Federal background check
LOCATION: KINGSTOWNE, VA
This position requires travel estimated at 25-35% annually
